Camp Jump Start

Wilkes Community Partnership for Children is working with all the Wilkes County elementary schools to host FREE kindergarten Jump Start Readiness Camps. Camps will take place in August 2026 for families with a child entering kindergarten in fall of 2026.

These are fun events for children to tour their school and experience what a day in kindergarten feels like. While children are exploring their school with kindergarten teachers, parents will have the opportunity to network with other parents while receiving resources and strategies to help your child have the best start to school. These camps are for students and parents to attend together. Caregivers will also have the opportunity to speak with the principal and ask questions prior to open house. Additionally, all participating kindergarteners will receive a “Class of 2039” t-shirt and backpack information and activities to help get ready for school.

Camp dates for each school will be listed in July.
