Join WCPC for KidsFest on Saturday, May 2 from 10 AM to 1 PM. Admission is free! This event is for children age birth to five years old. Come out and enjoy a time of games, prizes, and fun activities for young children! This event will take place at the Rotary Park Fairgrounds near West Park in North Wilkesboro (behind Cook’s Sporting Goods).
Fairy Tale Theater
Join WCPC and Wilkes Playmakers for a fun morning of Fairy Tale Theater! This event is most appropriate for children birth to five years old and their families. Admission is free. There are two showings of Fairy Tale Theater on Saturday, April 18 at Benton Hall in downtown North Wilkesboro. The first showing is at 10 AM and the second showing is at 11 AM. Suggested donations for this event are unopened boxes of diapers or wipes.
Calm Through the Crying Apr. 16
WCPC is offering a FREE class for parents/caregivers of babies and expectant parents/caregivers. This free class helps parents/caregivers understand about babies and what crying is healthy and normal. The class will also provide helpful tips for soothing babies. Class will take place at the WCPC office - 1915 West Park Drive, Suite 107 North Wilkesboro, NC 28659.

Leprechaun on the Loose
Join Wilkes Community Partnership for Children for a fun event for children birth to five years old. We have a wild leprechaun on the loose! Come out and join us Monday, March 16th from 11am-12pm at Rivers Edge Park to learn "How to Catch a Leprechaun" with our favorite librarian, Amber Combs, from the Wilkes County Public Library. Her read aloud might just give us some ideas to catch our own leprechaun while we have fun in the park! Once Upon a Time Gala
Join Wilkes Community Partnership for Children for a Prince and Princess Gala. This will be a fun, free event for children age birth to five years. It is most appropriate for older preschool children. During this event, children will be given the opportunity to take photos and visit with “princes” and “princesses” as well as take part in fun activities. This event will take place at The 1915 in downtown Wilkesboro. Camp Jump Start
Wilkes Community Partnership for Children is working with all the Wilkes County elementary schools to host FREE kindergarten Jump Start Readiness Camps. Camps will take place in August 2025 for families with a child attending kindergarten in fall of 2025.
These are fun events for children to tour their school and experience what a day in kindergarten feels like. While children are exploring their school with kindergarten teachers, parents will have the opportunity to network with other parents while receiving resources and strategies to help your child have the best start to school. These camps are for students and parents to attend together.
