The Wilkes County Math & Literacy Workshop is for all students entering kindergarten in August 2026. Many activities will be set out for children to practice building skills they will need in kindergarten. Information on how to replicate these activities at home will be included.

This workshop will also be a Rootle event in which the Wilkes County Rootle Ambassador will be present to share free resources and goodies from PBS Kids to help children prepare for kindergarten. A host of community agencies will be present to share information about how each can serve students and families.
