Play 2 Learn registration is open.

This is a twelve-week program. Sessions begin the week of November 17. Sessions end the week of February 23.

Location: NW Presbyterian Church - 804 E St, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659

Families are registered based upon a first come, first serve basis. Acceptance is limited to the availability of open slots. Families may only sign up for one session per week. Children must be ages birth to five. Families must live in Wilkes County.

An application must be completed online. Completing an application does not guarantee a spot in Play 2 Learn. Spots will be given to families who have not participated in Play 2 Learn before, and then on a first-come first-serve basis to repeating families.

A FLEX Day will be offered for parents whose schedules will not allow them to participate in other weekly sessions. The flex day is Wednesday and will have sessions each week on Wednesday morning (9:30 AM - 11 AM) and Wednesday afternoon (1:30 - 3 PM). Email Ms. Anita about details regarding the flex day.

Play 2 Learn Groups are available to families of infants/toddlers and preschoolers who are not currently enrolled in licensed childcare. Caregivers learn what to expect from their children as they grow and develop, as well as the ways children learn through play. There are opportunities to meet other parents and learn about available community resources. Parents and caregivers are introduced to strategies to develop children's oral language, phonological awareness, and emergent writing skills and how to incorporate activities into everyday situations with their children. Play 2 Learn Groups feature hands-on activities using a variety of developmentally appropriate materials, books, and learning activities.
